Pure Gold Hoop Earring
I can't say how many of these hoops I sold for $35 at art shows all over the USA back in the day. Given that the price of gold is about 10x what it was then, the current price is still reasonable!
Legend has it that ancient mariners wore pure gold hoop earrings so that they would still have enough resources to bail out of jail in any port even after drinking all of the coin that they had for shore leave. This may or may not be true, but there is truth in portable wealth.
The rich glow of pure gold frames your smile in a way that no other earring can, be ye pirate or yachtsman.
These gold hoops are hand forged from an ingot poured in our shop and guaranteed (as is everything on this site) to be .999 fine. The larger of the hoops is around 17 gauge and will weigh almost exactly 1.5 grams with dimensions of 17 x 14.6mm.
The lighter hoop has the same overall dimensions but will weigh around .86 gram.
These hoops are not suggested for changing out frequently, but are better installed in the ear and left. The hoop(s) will arrive with the ends twisted slightly apart. After insertion into your piercing, the hoop will be twisted back closed and the end inserted into the loop. It should stay this way for years but can be removed if necessary but after bending back and forth a few times, the hoop will likely become somewhat deformed.
